Skilled Senior Interventional Cardiologist, presently working with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi and associated with Indo European Course on Revascularization IECR as Founder Scientific Chairman since its inception and also facilitating the Free Services to the poor heart patients through Charitable organization since 1996. He is also involved in heart research in collaboration with French and other European Cardiologist. He is recipient of various Fellowships including prestigious American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI, USA), Fellowship of Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, Fellowship of Cardiological Society of India etc. Honored with Delhi Ratan award, Glory of India award, Best Citizen of India award, Leading Health Professional of world, Cambridge, UK, Mathur Vaish Samaaj Shiromani etc.

He is Founder Course Chairman for International Cardiology teaching Course – Indo European Course on Revascularization (IECR) for young Interventional Cardiologist with objective for the improvement of healthcare of Indian Physicians and Cardiologist by enhancing the knowledge base of Physicians based in st Rural regions of Indian subcontinent. 1 IECR was held in Delhi nd (Jan 4-6, 2008), 2 IECR was held in London and Delhi (Nov - Dec rd 2008) and the 3 IECR was held in Paris (Nov 3-4, 2009) followed by th Indian Chapter in Delhi on Dec 20-21, 2009. The 4 IECR was organized in Amsterdam (August 24-26, 2010) in Academic Medical Centre with huge participation and record 13 Live Transmissions. It also had European Board of Cardiology accreditation and th Collaboration of American College of Cardiology. 5 IECR was held in th Rome on Nov 29 , 2011 with Japanese and European participation. th 6 IECR was successfully accomplished in Zurich on Nov 21-22, 2012 with live transmissions and lectures. IECR is also planning to educate the Doctors based in the Rural India for the enhancement of their knowledge with the aim of improving the healthcare of India. Dr Vivek Gupta and IECR has got special recognition and applause from world Cardiology community. Dr. Gupta is also, Founder Director of Indo-European Interventional Council (IEIC) providing Research and training for Cardiologist globally. Foreign medical Students from France and other European Countries join Dr. Gupta regularly. Dr. Gupta is often referred as the bridge between European and Indian Cardiologists.
